Life in a Food Desert

A look at life in a food desert — Watts in South Los Angeles — where fresh fruits and vegetables are hard to come by and healthy choices are even harder to make. In this poverty-stricken community, one supermarket serves the needs of over 45,000 residents, and many can’t afford to shop there or lack the transportation to get there.
